The week started on Sunday with the fundraising abseil by the team of 25 very brave volunteers who were cheered on by a large number of their families and friends. The Friends abseil has raised almost £12,000 for the school!
On Tuesday morning the boys' and girls' won their semi- finals and qualified for the Cumann na Bunscol finals.
On Thursday we received a phonecall from the Rathfriland Literary Festival organiser to let us know that there had been several winners in the recents schools' competition. Paddy in P1 came second, Thomas, Lugaidh and Marianne were the P2, P3 and P5 winners- maith sibh!!
The teams travelled to Burren with their supported for the finals on Saturday morning. The girls played brilliantly and had a very comprehensive win over Aughlisnafinn. The boys' match was much more tense but the boys pulled away in extra time to win the trophy. Well done boys and girls!!
We have another busy week ahead preparing for Thursday night's concert.
